VERMILLION COUNTY – On July 20 around 8:50 p.m. Vigo County Dispatch advised the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office that a green Dodge Charger was entering the county at a high rate of speed.

Deputy Nelson attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the charger just north of Clinton. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated.

The driver of the Charger lost control of his vehicle at the State Road 63/US 36 overpass. The driver was taken into custody without any further incident.
