TERRE HAUTE – The Terre Haute Fire Department will be opening up an application process for new hires soon.
Some things to know:
Each applicant must pay for, complete, and pass a Candidates Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) and turn in with your application.
Must have a completed background check done.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and turn in a copy with your application packet.
Must turn in transcripts from your high school attended. This can sometimes take a little while depending on when and where you went to school.
Must have a valid drivers license from any US state.
Must be at least 21 years of age, and not yet to have turned 40 by the time we hire you.
Anyone hired must complete an EMT and paramedic course paid for by the department.
After the application deadline, all applicants will take a written and oral test.
Each passing applicant,after this process, will be on the THFD hiring list for a period of two years.
