BRAZIL – Fire burned through the roof of a house at 1109 E. Church Street Sunday night. The house is located between Manatee and Ashley.

Fire Chief Jake Bennett said no one was injured in the blaze. Occupants smelled smoke and called 911 about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. The fire burned through the roof.

Firefighters were on the scene until about 12:30 a.m.

Around 4:30 a.m. firefighters returned to the house after the fire reignited beneath the floor of the second story and the ceiling of the first story.
