VIGO COUNTY, Indiana (DLC Media) – With Vigo County down to its last 2 Million in American Rescue Plan Act funds, the county must decide what to do with the money. Many projects were voted on by Vigo County officials with many being turned down.

One project that was voted against was a one-million-dollar project that would see the United Way give money to local small businesses in Vigo County. The vote ended 3-3.

Passing the vote were two separate projects, with one being a $75,000 dollar deal that will allow the Terre Haute Children’s Museum to do a feasibility study on a potential downtown addition to the building. the other project, which will cost around $225,000 will be for renovations of the Swope Art Museum.

Projects that failed to reach a passing vote should be able to apply for what is left of the funding at next month’s meeting.
