VIGO COUNTY, Indiana (DLC Media) – Last night during a response to a house fire, one firefighter was taken to the hospital for injuries. Today it was announced via the Prairiton Fire Department Facebook page that the firefighter has died of their injuries.

The fire occurred at a home on South Power Place in Vigo County on Thursday. The family was able to escape the home and no other injuries were reported from the fire. If there are any other details about the firefighter or the fire itself, we will have those updates here.
