TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – Indiana State University is receiving funds to expand its early childhood education program. The funds come from the Lilly Endowment’s College and Community Collaboration Initiative. The initiative is used to help them envision and undertake collaborative projects with community stakeholders that enhance the quality of life and place in their surrounding communities.

ISU is receiving 5.8 Million Dollars in grant funds. The goal of the early childhood education center is to serve families through childcare for children between six weeks and 5 years old. Indiana State is one of just six organizations in Indiana that will receive money from this Lilly Endowment.
