Arrest Made Following Discovered Drugs

VIGO COUNTY, Indiana (DLC Media) – A Vigo County Deputy attempted to arrest two individuals who were parked outside of the Old Mill Dam after discovering that there were drugs in the vehicle. Deputy Belfi with the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department was on foot when he approached the vehicle. Once alerted, the driver, 30-year-old Jerry Shake, fled from the scene. After a brief chase, deputies were able to arrest the deployment of stop-sticks.

Deputies found methamphetamine, Marijuana, and an additional counterfeit substance, Believed to be K2. Three loaded handguns along with various paraphernalia items were also confiscated. The passenger, 37-year-old Dana Rutledge was also arrested.

The breakdown for items found includes approximately 74 grams of Methamphetamine, 124 grams of Marijuana, 81.6 grams of a counterfeit substance (suspected to be K2), three loaded handguns with additional ammunition, a scale, and other various items consistent with dealing drugs.
