Friday night the Terre Haute Police Department held their 33rd annual Commendation Dinner. This is a banquet held by the THPD to honor those who have worked exceptionally within the department.

The two big awards were the Mike Dinkel Award for service to the THPD and the community. That award was given to Dr. Jennifer Todd. Additionally, the Police Officer of the Year Award for 2023 was John Callahan. Retires from the THPD over the past year were also included. Those names were Lieutenant Kayle Pickens, Assistant Chief Mark Eldred, and Police Chief Shawn Keen
