Terre Haute, In. – A Terre Haute man is in jail after he threatened his brother and fired a handgun. 43-year-old Timothy King was arrested by the Terre Haute Police last Monday. According to witnesses an argument broke out between King, his brother and another man who had been drinking. During the argument King had his lip bloodied. He left the scene but text threats to his brother saying intended to kill him. When he returned, he had a handgun which he fired into the air. Police determined that King was a convicted felon and could not legally possess a firearm. King is being held in the Vigo County Jail on a $25,000 bond with no 10% allowed. He faces charges of Intimidation with a deadly weapon, Criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, Unlawful possession of a handgun by a domestic batterer, Resisting law enforcement and public intoxication.
