Terre Haute, In. – Around 2am on June 6th the Terre Haute Police Dept. received a call concerning multiple individuals breaking into cars in the area of 13th and Franklin streets. Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals inside the doorway of a car. As officers approached, both fled on foot. Officers quickly located and apprehended one suspect. After an extensive search involving additional officers, the second suspect was found and apprehended following another short foot pursuit. Both individuals were identified as juveniles, ages eleven and thirteen. The vehicle involved had sustained damage to its steering column and a broken window. The juveniles were charged with Attempted Auto Theft, Criminal Mischief, and Resisting Law Enforcement. They were subsequently transported to the Vigo County Juvenile Center.
