Indianapolis, In. – Governor Eric Holcomb has appointed three new members to the Indiana State University board of trustees.  All three of the new board members are from the Terre Haute Area.  The new members are:

Lori Danielson of Terre Haute.  Ms. Danielson is president of GoTime Coaching, LLC, and will serve until June 30, 2028.

Jon Ford of Terre Haute, president of Reliable Energy, Inc., will also serve until June 30, 2028. He is a former state senator

Rob Carter of Brazil, vice president of public affairs at Taft, who will serve until June 30, 2027. He previously was commissioner of the Indiana Department of Correction, executive director of risk management and security at Ivy Tech Community College and Clay County sheriff.

In recent years the board has not included any local members and local elected officials have been raising concerns about the lack of Vigo County representation on the board of trustees.  State Senator Greg Goode of Terre Haute introduced a bill amendment in the last legislature that would have required the Governor to appoint local members to the board of trustees of the state universities.  The amendment did not pass.
