Vigo County, In. – The Indiana Department of Health reports that mosquito’s carrying the West Nile Virus have been found in Vigo County. No human cases have been reported. West Nile symptoms in humans are similar to the flu, but prolonged. The Health Department says preventing Mosquito breeding areas is key to preventing West Nile. They say eliminate areas of standing water. Mosquitoes lay their eggs on stagnate water. The eggs hatch and become mosquitos that can carry West Nile.
