Vigo County, In. – Vigo County Sheriff Chief Deputy Steve Meng posted on social media that scammers have been calling people in the county saying they were Sheriff deputies, and they have a warrant for their arrest.  The caller then says if the person pays them money they would not go to jail.  Deputy Meng reminds citizens the Sheriff Department or any law enforcement agency would never call requesting money.
