Terre Haute, In. – On September 12th Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun will hold a public meeting to announce the city budget for 2025.  The mayor has posted some information on the budget on his Facebook page. The post says the city is looking at over $127 million in operating expenses next year.  That is nearly a 15.5% increase. Sakbun says the budget includes increasing investments for public safety, road paving, parks, demolition, storm water improvements, the cemetery department, upgrading equipment, and city employees.  He says that Casino tax, EDIT money, income from the Sanitary District and current cash balance will cover the increase and the city will have no debt next year.
