Kansas, Il. – Monday evening in Kansa, Illinois a 4-wheeler driven by 18-year-old Blaine Shonk ran into the side of a semi.  Police say Shonk was speeding through a parking lot on the 4-wheeler when he slid out onto route 16 just as the semi was passing and he slid into the side of it.  Shonk and his juvenile passenger were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries they sustained in the crash.  Shonk was charged with Driving Under the Influence and improperly operating an ATV. Kansas, Illinois is located in western Edgar County on Route 16.
