Parke County, In. – Students in Riverton Parke Jr./Sr. High School’s Heavy Equipment Operations vocational class have been able to achieve some valuable “seat time” experience thanks to the generosity of West Side Tractor of Terre Haute. West Side Tractor has graciously loaned equipment for Riverton Parke students to learn on. The students are working to create a “dirt lab” that will be utilized for instruction and training on a variety of heavy equipment. The class is very dependent on the support from the community.  The school thanks West Side Tractor, MacAllister Machinery and Collom Excavating.  This new program is part of the WRCTE (Wabash River Career Technical Education) program taught by Brody Cobb under the direction of the WRCTE director, Craig Newby.
