Terre Haute, In. – A fire in an abandoned house at 224 N 14 ½ St shortly before 7 am Monday.  The structure was heavily damaged according to fire officials.  The house was abandoned and there were no utilities turned on in the home.  The houses on either side of the fire were also damaged.  A fire crew entered one of the adjacent houses to help a disabled person out of the home. The damage to the homes was light and the families living in both were able to return to their homes after the fire was put out.  Fire crews were on the scene about 90 minutes.
