Terre Haute, In. – Just before 2am Friday morning a Vigo County Sheriff Deputy attempted a traffic stop at 1st and Raymond Drive. Instead of stopping the driver took off. The chase went through the mall parking lot then to US 41 south where the driver attempted to pull into Town South plaza where he crashed into a ditch. The driver was identified as Grant Cooper of Terre Haute. Two passengers in Coopers vehicle received minor injuries, one of them was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Cooper was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement and possession of body armor while committing a crime.
