Terre Haute, In. – In September of last year, the Terre Haute Humane Society broke ground for a new low-cost pet clinic. The building was funded by American Rescue Plan Act money, the city and Vigo County as well as contributions by generous corporations.  The funds allowed the building to be built but the clinic has still not been able to open. The clinic is still unfurnished and supplies and clinic equipment such as surgery room, a recovery room, exam rooms and a couple of offices remain empty. More funds are needed to allow the opening and operation of the pet clinic. Officials at the Humane Society hope to open the clinic to the public at least one day a week either by the end of the year or the first of next year.”
