Terre Haute, In. – Friday Entek announce that they had secured a loan for $1.2 Billion from U.S. Department of Energy to finance their new facility In Terre Haute.  The Terre Haute Entek plant will manufacture battery separators for Lithium-Ion Batteries for electric vehicles. The Entek project is expected to create 763 construction jobs and 635 operational jobs. Entek has partnered with Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana State University, local workforce boards and workforce systems, community-based organizations, and Apprenticeship Readiness Programs for recruitment.
