Terre Haute, In. – If you’re old enough to remember the Mural that graced the wall of the Mayflower Room of the Terre Haute Hotel it showed early settlers arriving from the Mayflower and Native Americans. You now have the chance to have a print of a recreation of the mural painted by local artist Becky Hochhalter. The original painting was done in 1936 and hung in the Mayflower room until the Hotel was demolished in 2005. You can buy one of the framed prints of the mural. Each print comes with a salvaged piece of the original mural. Proceeds from the art sale will support the Vigo County History Center. Three large pieces of the mural will be displayed at the History Center in the future.
