Clay County, In. – Clay County is in the planning stage of updating its Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan was prepared in cooperation with the City of Brazil and the Towns of Carbon, Center Point, Clay City, Harmony, Knightsville, and Staunton. The plan addresses the risk and vulnerability of communities in the county that may be affected by known natural and technological hazards. Members of the community can make comments on the plan which is available for review in the Clay County Auditor’s Office during regular business hours. The public comment period ends on January 31st.
