Vigo County, In. – Tuesday afternoon Vigo County Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 7500 block of Wabash Avenue which is between Hunt Road and Chamberlin Street.  When they arrived both occupants of the vehicle had been extricated by the Seelyville Fire Department.  Witnesses said that the car was westbound on Wabash when for no apparent reason it crossed into the eastbound lanes, went off the road, hit a mailbox, went over a grassy mound and hit a tree head on. The driver and passenger were both taken by IU Lifeline to Indianapolis in critical but stable condition. The accident remains under investigation.
