Terre Haute, In. – Union Health filed a new certificate of Public Advantage application Tuesday. The application is a part of the merger process between Union Health and Regional hospitals. The Indiana State Dept. of Health issues these certificates for certain hospital mergers. Union Health withdrew their last application to work with the Indiana Department of Health on a new application when the Federal trade Commission issued a comment against the merger last year. Union Health said the proposed merger would … “incorporate improved access to care, health outcome initiatives and continued emphasis on the quality of care,” … including access to primary and preventative care, along with access to robust medical services that include behavioral health, cardiovascular, oncology, neuroscience, women’s and children’s health and orthopedic services.
