
Terre Haute, In. – Former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels soke at Indiana State University Monday evening as a part of the Universities speak series. Daniels served as the director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget under President George W. Bush and governor of Indiana from 2004 to 2012. When he left politics, he became the 12th President of Purdue University from 2013 to 2022. Being a past University President Daniels said he’s always motivated on a college campus by the talent and idealism he sees there. It’s also an opportunity for him to tell students, “Big moments are coming for this country. Big challenges … it’s going to be on your watch. So, get ready.” He also addressed some of the big issues in higher education, which include cost and value.
