Terre Haute, In. – ATTIO Design made a presentation to the Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Department of 3 possible design make overs for the Deming Park pool.  Concept one and two would both cost $4.5 million and concept three $3.5 million.  In all 3 concepts the chain-link fence around the pool would be replaced with a metal picket fence with brick columns.  1 & 2 would raise the pool’s floor so that the pool has no deep end — it will be 4’ 6” throughout. Therefore, the diving board will be replaced by a water basketball goal. Concept 3 would leave the shallow and deep ends of the pool as they are and add an aqua zip-in feature added alongside it. The water slide will deposit users directly into the pool, and cabanas would be installed. The parks board will make any changes to the designs they feel would be needed and select the design in a future meeting.
