Clay Co. Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Bust

Brazil, In. – A Clay County Sheriff’s Department traffic stop led to a felony drug arrest. During the stop a Brazil Police Patrolman arrived to provide backup and ran the identifications of the people in the car while a K-9 officer was deployed to do an open-air sniff. The dog is trained to detect the odor of marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin.
The K-9 indicated a hit. Carol Woods, was charged with felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and False Identity. Woods is also facing allegations of Dealing Methamphetamine in Vigo County.
