BRAZIL, IND. — The Clay County Guys Who Give and 100+ Women Who Care recently held their 3rd quarter meeting, where they each selected a nonprofit organization to receive a grant. The 100+ Women Who Care selected Launch Academy, while the Guys Who Give selected the Clay County 4-H Council.
Launch Academy received $4,200 from 100+ Women Who Care. The donation will go towards their Scholarship Program. Launch Academy operates as a non-profit Christian based pre-kindergarten program that focuses entirely on preparing a child to transition into kindergarten with many mastered skills.
The Guys Who Give donated $1,900 to the Clay County 4-H Council. The donation from Guys Who Give will be used for fairground improvements, such as electrical upgrades and ADA accessibility.
A Giving Circle, such as Guys Who Give Clay County and 100+ Women Who Care Clay County, provides members with opportunities to understand the power of philanthropy as a vehicle for social change and to engage in thoughtful and systematic grant making. Giving Circles are unique in that each operate based on the input, consent and will of its members. Each Giving Circle’s philosophy is that members distribute 100% of its grant dollars every year in Clay County so member contributions have an immediate impact in the community.
