Hearing Set For Jan. 9th In Contested Vigo School Board Race

Terre Haute, In. – Special Judge Matthew L. Headley has set January 9th as the date to hear the contested Vigo County School Board Race.   Vigo County School Board District 1 candidate Carey LaBella filed a petition in Vigo County Circuit Court contesting the election of Eric Graves saying Graves did not meet residency requirements. District 1 is Harrison Township. When Graves filed, he listed his address at 41 Timberlane Turn, which is in Lost Creek Township, a part of School Board District 4. Graves now lives in District 1.  Graves beat LaBella for the District 1 seat 12,167 votes to LaBella’s 9,086 votes.
