Terre Haute, In. – A man and woman from Indianapolis face charges in Vigo County in the 2022 death of their infant child. Jalen M. Byrum, 23 is charged with murder and neglect of a dependent resulting in death and Alicia K. Pacheco, 21, faces a charge of neglect of a dependent resulting in death.  On August 22^nd, 2022 police were called to the Econo Lodge Suites, in Terre Haute after medics had taken 2-month old Nathaniel Byrum to Regional Hospital.  The baby was not breathing.  An Autopsy was performed and the Coroner determined that he died as a result of blunt-force injuries to the head and the manner of death to be homicide. Byrum is schedule. to be tried March 27^th and Pacheco will go to court March 20^th.
