Brazil- A Terre Haute man was charged with resisting law enforcement and refusing to take a chemical test early Sunday morning.

David A. Burns, 46, of Terre Haute was riding a motorcycle in the area of U.S. 40 and County Road 300 West when Clay County Sheriffs Deputies attempted to pull him over.

Instead, he accelerated and led deputies, Brazil Police and Indiana State Police on a chase.

After he was arrested, it was learned he also faces charges in Vigo County.

Burns is being held in the Clay County Justice Center on $7,000 bond.
