Arrest warrants served by Clay Co. Sheriff’s Office

BRAZIL– On Tuesday, March 28, Deputies and Detectives with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office served multiple arrest warrants for drug related charges. These arrests were unrelated, but a result of a lengthy investigation by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office – Detective Division. The following were served with arrest warrants:

Michael S. Wilson, 43, was arrested at his Brazil, Indiana residence without incident by
Detectives and transported to the Clay County Jail. Mr. Wilson has a $50,000 bond.
Dealing in Methamphetamine – Level 2 Felony (Warrant)
Dealing in Methamphetamine – Level 2 Felony (Warrant)
Possession of Methamphetamine weighing at least 28 grams – Level 3 Felony (Warrant)
Possession of Methamphetamine that is more than 10g, and less than 28g – Level 4 Felony (Warrant)

Matthew Hannel, 37, was arrested at a rural Putnam County residence by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Clay County Jail. Mr. Hannel has a $50,000 bond.
Dealing in Methamphetamine – Level 2 Felony (Warrant)
Possession of Methamphetamine that is more than 10 g and less than 28g – Level 4 Felony (Warrant)

Travis Merritt, 26, was served an arrest warrant by Clay County Detectives. Mr. Merritt is currently incarcerated at the Vigo County Jail on an unrelated matter.
