BRAZIL — A registered sex offender was arrested in Carbon after allegedly peering into a bedroom window shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday. The incident happened in a residence on the north side of Brazil.

The resident caught the perpetrator but the man was able to get away in a silver passenger car.

During the course of the investigation, a Brazil police officer located a car that matched the description of the perpetrator.

The car was registered to Daniel Winn, age 58, of Carbon, a registered sex offender.

Winn was on parole at the time of the incident.

Brazil Police learned through the parole agent that an ankle bracelet placed Winn at the resident’s home at the time a man was seen peeking into the window.

Winn’s parole was revoked and he was arrested at his Carbon home and transported to the Clay County Jail.

The incident remains under investigation.
