BLOOMINGTON — The bodies of two Indiana University students have been recovered, stated a release from The Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

The DNR confirmed the bodies of Siddhant Shah, 19, and Aryan Vaidya, 20, have now been recovered from Monroe  Lake

“This morning at approximately 11:23 a.m., Indiana Conservation Officers located and recovered the bodies of the victims in 18 feet of water in an area east of the Paynetown Marina,” the release said.

The two men went missing while swimming with a group of people on a pontoon boat. The pontoon had been anchored Saturday afternoon and the group became alarmed when the two men became separated from the group.
