WEST TERRE HAUTE — Fire broke out in the second story of a West Terre Haute home Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Paris Avenue and North 4th Street.

The fire was contained in the second floor but there was smoke damage throughout the home.

Sugar Creek Fire, Honey Creek Fire, Terre Haute Fire Department, Seelyville Fire Department, New Goshen Fire Department, Shepardsville Fire Department, West Terre Haute Police Department, and Trans Care Ambulance assisted.
