TERRE HAUTE – On Tuesday at 1:35 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 4300 block of US 41 South in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Once on scene, deputies saw a black GMC Acadia resting on its top. The Acadia was occupied by a driver, 47 year old Jessica Wrightsman of Terre Haute and a passenger.
Just north of the crash scene, deputies located a white Cadillac with black marks on the side of it pulled into a parking lot. The driver of that vehicle was 41 year old Patrick Jarvis of West Terre Haute.

After an investigation, deputies learned through the drivers and a witness, that the white Cadillac had crashed into the side of the Acadia when both vehicles were northbound on 41, causing the Acadia the flip onto its top.

Patrick Jarvis was subsequently arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance. The passenger of the Acadia was transported to Regional Hospital for treatment.
