BRAZIL – Road rage led to a driver shooting a gun during a dispute with another driver about following too closely on I-70 in Clay County on Monday.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames said the incident began on I-70 in Clay County. Michael E. Smith, 52, of Wentzville, Missouri, was arrested in Vigo County and taken to the Clay County Jail.

Smith was charged with felony intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and two counts of criminal recklessness.
