TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – An altercation that resulted in gunfire last week led to the arrest of a violent offender over the weekend. On December 5th police were called to the scene of an argument where shots were eventually fired at the intersection of N 14th Street and Fort Harrison Street. By the time police arrived, all parties had left the area. Police reviewed the footage and were able to key on the vehicles at the scene.
During a traffic stop Saturday, due to reckless driving, the vehicle was identified as one of those that was at the scene of the earlier altercation. Following confirmation that the vehicle matched the officer’s description, they searched the vehicle leading to the arrest of 24-year-old Sean Rutherford, who now faces charges concerning being a violent offender in possession of a firearm, possession by a domestic batterer, resisting law enforcement, and reckless driving.
