BRAZIL, Indiana (DLC Media) – A former Brazil Attorney and State representative died yesterday. Amos Thomas, originally of Parke County, died at the age of 93. Amos worked as an attorney in Brazil until his retirement in 2021 having practiced law for 65 years.
After attending Indiana University Thomas joined the US Military serving in Alaska during the Korean War. Following his service Thomas attended Law school at IU. Thomas was a part of the Brazil First United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Brazil Rotary Club since 1957. Thomas was a very decorated individual who was recognized with the sagamore of the Wabash Valley which is given for distinguished service in the state of Indiana.
Thomas had recently moved to Greencastle after playing a significant role in the community of Brazil.
