NWS Confirms Tornado in Knox County

Knox County, In. – The National Weather Service sent a team to Knox County to investigate whether a tornado touched down in the county during Sunday’s storm.  The team confirmed that an EF-2 tornado touched down just east of Decker and traveled northeast where it lifted southeast of Monrow City.  The tornado destroyed a barn, moved a school bus, damaged a garage and downed many trees in it’s path.  A EF-2 tornado packs winds of up to 112 mph. An EF-1 tornado was confirmed to have touched down in Lawrenc County Illinois.
