Sullivan, In. – Monday night the Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate the report of a semi hitting a tree on U.S. 41 at Silver Street in Sullivan.  An INDOT crew was on scene and helped the Sheriff Deputies with traffic control while the damaged truck was cleared.  While they were helping another semi crashed into the INDOT vehicle and didn’t stop.  No one was injured but the INDOT truck was heavily damaged.  Police chased the semi and quickly pulled it over.  The driver was identified as 68-year-old Shamseldin Elghorab of Minneapolis.  He was arrested and charged with criminal recklessness, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident.
