Terre Haute, In. – A local man will be going to prison after pleading guilty in two child solicitation cases.  Steven Slater pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of child solicitation in 2 cases.  Slater will serve 3 years in prison half of a 6 year sentence and then have to register as a sex offender.  Slater was arrested in West Terre Haute in 2022 after he sent explicit messages to who he thought was a 14-year-old who was actually a decoy.  The Indianapolis group “Predator Catchers” was involved in this case.
