T.H.PD. Apprehends Suspect After Shots Fired

Terre Haute, In. – Shortly before 3pm Saturday A Terre Haute Police officer patrolling in the vicinity of 21st and Locust heard gun shots.  When checking he saw a man standing in the street who took off running.  Witnesses said he had a gun. The officer chased the individual on foot and saw him enter an alley with a gun in his hand. Searching for him the officer found him hiding under a car parked in a yard.  The suspect was taken into custody and charges with Criminal Recklessness, Resisting Law Enforcement, pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, and two outstanding warrants; a misdemeanor warrant out of Vigo County, and State Parole Violation Warrant for Possession of a Firearm by Serious Violent Felon.  The name of the suspect has not been released.
