Terre Haute, In. – Yesterday morning Terre Haute Police officers responded to a domestic batter report in the 2200 block of Berne Avenue.  Officers were aware of a history of violence by one of the people in the home which included weapons.  The people in the home refused to come out and speak with officers. At that point the special response team was called in.  During the stand off a drone and robot were used to ascertain information on the situation.  After nearly 2 hours officers arrested 51-year-old Steven R. Henderson, of Terre Haute for Resisting Law Enforcement. During the situation nearby Terre Town Elementary was placed on a “secure response” due to police presence in the area.
