Driver of Tesla Dies In Crawford County Accident

Crawford County, Il. – 44-year-old Clint Keown of Evansville was Southbound on County Road 1400 East near County Road 900N when the Tesla he was driving left the road, went through a guardrail over some rocks and ended up in a creek.  Keown was taken to the hospital where he later died.  Keown was widely known in Evansville as an all-around athlete. He played basketball for Evansville Memorial in the 1990’s and was named an Indiana All-Star. He played two seasons at the University of Evansville before transferring to South Carolina-Aiken where he was second in the US in scoring in NCAA Division II. He was also an avid golf and poker player and even dabbled in minor league baseball. A passenger, in Keown’s Tesla, 44-year-old Matthew Redd of Newburgh, was also taken to the hospital.  Authorities have not released his condition.
