Help From Indiana Headed South To Help In The Aftermath Of Hurricane Helene

Wabash Valley, In. – Duke Energy has sent around 80 employees and released over 100 contractors to help with get residents of Florida up and running after Hurricane Helene swept through the area last week.  The employees headed south include linemen, damage assessors, and vegetation crews. Millions of people were left without power over the southern states. Governor Holcomb has activated the Indiana National Guard to help in the area hit by the hurricane.  Members if the 181st Intelligence Wing of the Air National Guard based in Terre Haute will be based in Hickory North Carolina for a couple of weeks to participate in search and rescue efforts.
