Terre Haute, In – The Terre Haute City Council has approved three rezoning requests in the city. With the rezoning a $26.5 million multifamily apartment complex called Wabash Place Apartments will be built in the area of Margaret Avenue, South First Street and Wheeler Avenue. The building will contain 120 apartments. The former William O. Weddle school on Blakley Avenue has been rezoned to become the Rose Hulman Theta Xi fraternity house Kappa chapter. The fraternity plans a $1.2 Million renovation. Also approved was rezoning of the property at 145 Voorhees to renovate the old Greenwood school into a hotel adding retail space is also a possibility.
