Terre Haute, In. – The former Terre Haute Police Headquarter Building at 12th and Wabash had been scheduled to to be developed into apartments by an Indianapolis contractor. Those plans fell through so officials have decided to take a different approach. The property will be developed in two different stages. In stage one the old building will be demolished. The redevelopment Commission is currently accepting bids for the demolition. Stage two will be total redevelopment of the property. A final plan for stage two hasn’t been decided on but there are several ideas and officials are open to any ideas from the public. Before becoming the Police Headquarters the building was the site of The Indiana State Bank for many years.
