
Vigo County, In. – The Duke Energy Foundation announced grants of nearly $215,000 across the state to public service agencies to help increase response during severe weather and other emergencies. The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office received $12,000 which will be used to upgrade software and hardware that allow it to track response personnel, costs of resources used and victims of natural and man-made disasters. Local emergency management agencies play a critical role providing information, support and resources that Duke Energy needs to help them restore power for their customers.
