Knox Co. Deputy In The Right Place At The Right Time

Knox County, In. – An off-duty Knox County Deputy was shopping at a sporting goods store when he spotted Dawson Kelm who he knew he was wanted for 2 warrants. The deputy called for on duty deputies. Kelm had gone into a changing room at the store.  When he came out the deputies were waiting for him.  He took off with the deputies chasing him through the store.  When they corralled him Kelm they searched him and found “burglar tools” along with broken security tags and he had clothes with store tags on them under his clothes and a bag with meth was found in the changing room. Kelm was arrested for his prior warrants along with new charges of Resisting law enforcement, Criminal conversion, and Possession of methamphetamine.
